Can I bring my dog?
Yes, you can take your beloved pooch but please let us know at the time of booking. We ask that you do not leave your pet unattended in the vehicle or allow it on soft furnishings without a cover. If your dog has a tendency to chew things/furniture then please do not book with us and please note that space inside is limited so very big dogs are not advised. I once had a chap turn up with 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks, I can only imagine the look on my face!
Do you permit smoking in your motorhomes?
We kindly ask that you do not smoke in any of our motorhomes.
Is bedding included?
Freshly laundered mattress protectors and under sheets are provided as standard. You will need to bring your own quilts and pillows. Please ask us however if you are coming from overseas and we will be happy to help.
Will I be warm enough?
While the folks in tents will be cold, you will always be warm and toasty, even in winter conditions, thanks to the motorhomes blown air central heating. Bring extra warm bedding if hiring the VW in cold conditions.
Are there powerpoints in the motorhomes?
Yes, there are numerous plug sockets and 12 volt chargers (the ones you have in your car), so please feel free to bring along your iPads, games consoles and hair straighteners. Serious Glamping!
Will my licence allow me to drive the vehicle?
If hiring the Fiat Bessacarr E495 motorhome which is over 3,500 kg then the law states that the driver must be between the ages of 25 and 70 and have passed their test in 1996 or before. Please check this before hiring. Please also notify us if you have more than 6 points on your licence so we can notify our insurer. There is not usually any additional charge for this.
Is there an insurance excess?
Insurance is fully comprehensive but there is an excess of £700 payable by the hirer should any damage occur over that amount during the hire. Please ensure that the vehicle is returned in a clean and tidy condition and with the toilet cassette emptied and rinsed.
How many people can travel in the motorhomes?
It is the drivers responsibility to ensure that everyone travelling in the vehicle has a seat belt. Fortunately, our motorhome has 6 seat belts and the campervan has 5.
Do I have to stay on campsites?
Unless you are in Scotland it is against the law in the UK to sleep in a motorhome on a public road, lay-by or car park. We recommend that you stay at campsites. Most campsites offer electric hook up which means you can use as much electricity as you desire. Some campsites or festivals do not offer electric hook up. Fear not our motorhomes have solar panels which charge two powerful leisure batteries. The central heating, hot water and fridge all run off gas ( provided free of charge by us ) meaning that you can live in luxury without electric hook up for a good few days. Facilities for the VW may differ, please ask for details.
Can I leave my car with you?
Yes, we have secure parking for up to two cars.
Is there a mileage restriction?
You must inform us of your estimated mileage prior to travel. Rental charges may be slightly higher or indeed lower with mileage exceptions.
How much fuel do the motorhomes use?
Our motorhome usually does 20 – 25 MPG depending on who is driving and upon weather conditions. Our campervan usually does 30 – 35 MPG. For example, from our own experience a trip from Warrington to Land’s End (360 miles) will cost around £85. From Warrington to Keswick (105 miles) will cost around £25. The motorhome will be handed to you with fuel near empty. Feel free to bring it back half full but we recommend that you return it to us at near empty. There is a petrol station 0.5 miles from Cheshire Motorhome Holidays pick up address.
How do I make a booking?

What charges apply if I cancel my booking?

Between 2 – 4 weeks before collection 75% of total hire charge is NON – REFUNDABLE. No show – 2 weeks before collection 100% of total hire charge is NON – REFUNDABLE.
What time can I collect and return the motorhome?
Please collect your motorhome between 12 noon and 3pm. Please return it between 11am and 12 noon. These times maybe flexible in quieter periods, please ask prior to pick up. We try to be very flexible with pick up times and drop off times and we will always try to get you on your way earlier and to drop the van off later if possible. However, on occasions, another party may be hiring the vehicle on the same day you are dropping it off. If this is the case we will always let you know and the vehicle must be returned by 12 noon at the latest. Please note that if this is the case then you will be charged £75 for every hour that you are late.
Do you provide a pick up or delivery service?
This can be arranged. Please enquire for prices.
